CONCEPT
Every project starts with the story. I define the core idea, emotional direction, references, tone and visual language before generating a single frame.

I’m Kanush Khanna, an AI Filmmaker, Director and Prompt Engineer working at the intersection of cinema, visual design and generative technology.
My approach to AI filmmaking is built around the same things that make traditional cinema work — story, performance, cinematography, lighting, continuity, sound and emotion.
The technology is simply another production tool. What matters to me is whether the final film makes you feel something.
I'm particularly interested in pushing AI imagery away from the synthetic, over-polished look and towards something that feels photographed, physical and believable.
From narrative shorts and cinematic trailers to commercials and experimental films, I work across the complete creative process — concept, visual development, generation, direction, editing and final delivery.
Outside filmmaking, I created The Map Mysteries, my faceless YouTube channel exploring geography and the fascinating stories hidden inside maps, places and the world around us.

Technology should never be the reason a film is interesting. The story should.
Every project starts with a story.
AI enters the process only where it helps bring that story to life.
Every project starts with the story. I define the core idea, emotional direction, references, tone and visual language before generating a single frame.
Characters, environments, props, costumes and lighting are developed as one connected world. This is where visual continuity starts being designed rather than repaired later.
Before generation, I design the shot: composition, lens language, camera movement, performance, blocking, lighting and the exact visual information the model needs.
The right generative model is selected for the shot rather than forcing one tool to do everything. Shots are iterated for realism, performance, continuity and physical believability.
The generated material becomes a film through editing. Pacing, sound design, music, cleanup, compositing, effects and colour work turn individual shots into one continuous experience.
The final objective is never to demonstrate what AI can generate. It is to create something that works as cinema — something with rhythm, emotion, intention and a reason to exist.

Tools change. The filmmaking principles don't.
The tools will keep changing. Story, taste and direction won't.
Generative filmmaking is evolving fast. Staying curious and continuously learning is part of the work.
SELECTED EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONThe technology moves quickly. Curiosity has to move faster.
A live space for AI filmmakers, designers, prompt engineers and visual storytellers to share work, exchange prompts, get feedback and build better things together.
Whether it’s an AI film, commercial, trailer, visual experiment or something that doesn’t quite have a name yet — I’m interested in ambitious ideas that deserve a cinematic treatment.
